Dear Future Generations
I've posted this link before, but this is one of the best YouTube videos I've seen on climate change and it deserves a second share
A singer songwriter on YouTube called PrinceEA recently traveled to Africa, where he witnessed forests being cut down at an astonishing rate. This inspired him to write a song about it, looking back at now a days and what we could have done to stop global warming while we had the chance. He talks directly to Future Generations about how he's sorry for polluting the earth so badly. If you would like to view his YouTube song click here

A Drop in the Ocean
Trócaire have made a documentary about climate change and how it will affect Ireland called "A Drop in the Ocean"
The name, drop in the Ocean is a great way to explain global warming. One person only puts one drop of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere a year. In proportion to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere it's only a little, but with all 5 billion people creating one drop, we end up with a large ocean, increasing each year. If everyone decreased their carbon emissions it's another ocean of carbon dioxide stopped from entering the atmosphere

It is often difficult to judge how our actions and their impact on the environment are likely to affect others. What is clear is that we are the only species with the power to destroy the earth. Birds and insects have no such power, nor does any other mammal. And yet if we have the capacity to destroy the earth, we also have the capacity to protect it. I believe we have an urgent responsibility to do so.- Dalai Lama

There is so much damage caused by global warming every year, It is estimated that 500,000 people die every year because of the side effects of global warming. Global warming causes not only the temperatures to rise and the ice caps to melt, It also causes hurricanes, storms, drought and other extremes in weather. Bear Glacier is an excellent example of what global warming has already done and will continue to do unless we change our way of life now
